HISTORY: This is a one and one-half story, salt box style house
built of rock and wood. It was built by John Howard Howard, an Englishman who
came from Gloucestershire, England in 1881. There is a large well and cistern.
The Howard family cemetery is on the property. The Howard's named their
property, "Ten Oak Hills" Ranch
The English immigration to this area
lasted from 1880's to 1890's.
