HISTORY: This two-story Victorian house was built on land that
has been in Allen Becker's family since the original Ignatz Minnich land grant.
The land has fostered members of the family for seven consecutive generations.
In fact, the stone front step leading up to the porch is from the original log
cabin, (now owned by the Winn's) which belonged to Ignatz Minnich, Allen's
great-great grandfather.
The Becker's and their four daughters built the
entire house.
Although the structure is less than fifteen years old, it
embodies the style of the old Victorian homes of the 19th and early 20th
centuries. From the old glassware and antique furniture to Carole's quilting and
home- grown herbs, the Beckers present a home that could be from another
century.
