MAYWALD FAMILY HEADSTONES
BOERNE CEMETERY

This cemetery is located in the town of Boerne, Texas in Kendall County.

Antone Maywald, a veteran of World War I, suffered from the effects of mustard gas while serving in Europe. He was told the climate in the Texas Hill Country might improve his health, therefore, along with his wife and children, Anton moved to Boerne. According to his death certificate Antone Paul Maywald remained in Boerne for 2 years, 7 months and 5 days. On Nov. 5, 1928 Antone died at age 31 and was buried in the Boerne Cemetery. The attending physician was Dr. John F. Nooe.
