VOGT/RICHTER HOUSE

DESCRIPTION: One and 1/2 story, Victorian; diamond pane in vent in gable over bay window; elliptical side lignt, simple Tuscan columns support curved front porch roof.
HISTORY: Ed Clemens built this 1 1/2 story Victorian style
frame house in 1914 for the Otto Vogts. The Vogt's lived here many years and
reared a family of two girls. Mr. Vogt had his blacksmith shop across the
street.
In 1972 Mrs. Vogt sold the house to James O. Sherman who in turn
sold to Sammy D. Anthony. In 1978 Rife Denton and his wife, Dianne purchased the
house.
Dianne Denton, and her second husband, Matthew Richter purchased
the property. They restored the house to its original beauty.
