WORTH-ANDERSON MANSION
IH 10 W, near Comfort, Tx

HISTORY: Bill and Darolyn Worth had this house built in 1981 after their great success with gravel pits of the Redland Worth Corporation north of San Antonio. Gail Rosenblum wrote an article for the "Style" column in the San Antonio Light, June 9, 1985 in which she wrote that Louise Mandrell performed at the wedding of the Worth's daughter who was married at their home on the hill. In August the Cattle Baron's Gala was held here.

Barbara Higdon wrote in the "Spaces" column in the San Antonio Express-News, December 12, 1998 about Christmas at the mansion. The mansion, according to Ms. Higdon, now belongs to Bill and Janice Anderson, having been sold by the Worths to the Andersons at sometime since 1985. The picture above appears in this article.
