Died, at the residence of Mrs. Schlomach, May 23, 1903, Miss Susie Stapp, of Burnet, aged 19 years. As her sudden call away came rather unexpectedly, none of her relatives were there when the end came, but she had many near and dear friends in Lampasas, who administered to her every earthly want, among whom I will mention was her skillful physician, Dr. Heller, who did all that medical aid could do, and the noble christian family of Mrs. Schlomach who nursed her so faithfully during her illness. May the dear heavenly Father reward them for their kindness to her.

We desire through your columns to express our sincere thanks to the people of your city who so kindly visited our daughter, Susie, during her last illnes, who tenderly closed her eyes when her spirit took its flight and who offered assistance and gave expressions of sympathy to us after she had been called home. We can never repay Sister Schlomach and her daughters, Minnie and Dora, for their untiring efforts to anticipate and relieve her every need. We feel that Dr. Heller has acted the part of a true, noble christian physician and gentleman, and that he did all that could have been done to avert the sad ending of a pure, noble, uncomplaining, devoted christian life. We feel that Bro. Walker in his visits afforded her untold comfort. We especially thank Conductor Clinefelter and his crew of the H & T.C. Ry. for favors granted.
We are in deep sorrow, but we mourn not as those who have no hope, for we realize that it will be only a few more days until we will join her in the holy land.
