From FM 811, go north on FM 1119 2½ miles to CR 110.   Turn right on CR 110 and go 0.90 miles to a dirt road with a locked gate on the left.   Go down this dirt road 0.40 miles.   Cemetery is on the right just over the fence.

These graves are on the old Lesesne Lands.   You can see rock markers and low spots in the ground where others were buried but these are the only two graves that have stones with information on them.   Mr. Robeson is familiar with this land and these people.   He says that most of the graves were of the black children.   He says that this Shurman family came from Georgia about the time General Sherman was burning his way to the ocean and when they got here they changed their name from Sherman to Shurman.
