Leon Co., TX. Deed Book 52, pg. #348.

State of Texas, County of Victoria.  "Whereas, we, Mrs. Maude JONES and husband of the County of Victoria State of Texas, did on the 26th day of July A. D. 1919, by deed of that date duly recorded in the Records of Deeds (blank) County, Volume (blank) page (blank) Grant, Sell and Convey to R. L. GILBERT of the County of Leon, State of Texas, the following described property, to-wit: a certain tract or parcel of land situated in Leon County, Texas, being 60 acres of land of the B. F. WHITAKER survey, reference to deed for full description, and did in said deed retain a Vendor's Lien on the property so granted, sold and conveyed, to secure the payment of a part of the purchase money mentioned in said deed as follows, to-wit: One note #1 for $875.00 of date July 26, 1919 and due Jan. 1st 1920, And, whereas, said Vendor's Lien note given as aforesaid for part purchase money, of said property, has been paid to Mrs. Maude JONES the legal and equitable holder and owner of said note; Now, therefore, Know all men by these presents:  That I, Mrs. Maude JONES the present legal and equitable owner and holder of said Vendor's Lien note above mentioned, do hereby release discharge and quitclaim unto the said R. L. GILBERT, his heirs and assigns, all the right, title, interest and estate, in and to the property above described, which I have or may be entitled to by virtue of being the owner of said Vendor's Lien note and do hereby declare said property released and discharged of all liens created by virtue of said Vendor's Lien note above described.
Witness our hands this 11th day of February A. D. 1920."

Certification:  State of Texas, Victoria County.  "Before me, N. M. BARTLEY a Notary Public in and for Victoria County, Texas, on this day personally appeared C. A. JONES known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed.
Given under my hand and seal of office this 11th day of February A. D. 1920."

Certification:  State of Texas, County of Victoria.  "Before me N. M. BARTLEY, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, on this day personally appeared Mrs. Maude JONES wife of C. A. JONES known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained to her, she, the said Mrs. Maude JONES acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed and declared that she had willing signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it.
