Walston Deed

Nov. 15, 1875
(County of Leon )  KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that I  A.J. WALSTON of the county and state aforesaid, have for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid to me by F. M. BROOKS, granted, bargained and sold unto the said F.M. BROOKS the following described tract or parcel of land.  The same being a part of the James M. Boone headright, and being situated in the county and state aforesaid, about ten miles from the town of Navarro.  The same being the south half of a three hundred and twenty acre survey made for John Lynell out of the south west corner of the said James M. Boone survey.  Together with all and singular, the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging unto said F. M. BROOKS, his heirs, assigns and executors, and I,  A. J. WALSTON for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators do warrant and defend the title ot the said tract or parcel of land unto the said F. M. BROOKS his heirs, assigns, executors and administratiors, in fee simple forever, and further I would represent that I was married at the time I acquired ownership of the aforesaid tract or parcel of land that my wifes name is HAMANLA WALSTON, and further that self and wife are both now alive, and further that the aforesaid tract or parcel of land is not community property & is not claimed as a homestead, and further that the grantee is married and that his name is F. M. BROOKS,
     In Witness of which I have this day signed, sealed and delivered the foregoing deed using scroll for seal, this day and year above written.
