| NOTES: He was in the Civil War. Entered 3/4/1862 in Houston Co., GA. He was appointed 4th Corporal. On 6/3/1864, he was severely injured at Cold Harbor, VA. Was admitted to Stuart Hospital at Richmond, VA on 6/13/1864. On 8/5/1864, he was furloughed for 60 days Aug 5, 1864. In Floyd House and Ocmulgee Hospitals at Macon, GA, where left thigh was amputated, Oct. 14, 1864. Martha went to Texas, and filed for a pension on Young Johnson from his service in the Civil War. They were married by Middleton McDonald who may have been a son-in-law of James Busbee. James is the father of William Reese Busbee who Young was living with and he is Lillian's brother. |
