To Members of Quarterly Conference of Rogers Prairie Mission. Dear Brethren. We have taken steps to organize three Sunday Schools. One at Gum Spring. One at Pleasant Grove, and one at Oak Ridge. We have appointed superintendents at each place, and instructed them to finish the organization and go to work. As to the Pastoral instruction of children, we have done but little, farther than to make ourselves friendly with them. Where ever we have staid. We pray Gods blessings on the Sunday school and children.

We have preached 26 sermons, held four church conferences, organized a church at Rogers Prairie, received eight by letter, one by profession, dismissed by letter one, by church conference two, have made 42 pastoral visits. For the collections ordered by the annual conference $29.50 in cash and Subscriptions. Sent nine Sub’s for Texas Advocate, and one for Nashville Advocate. Rogers Prairie, Mar. 19th 1892

Dear Brethren of the 1st quarterly conference

We believe that the outlook for our church is hopeful. While our people are financially embarrassed, still they are putting forth their shoulders to the wheel and are improving their churches, and making an effort to build a parsonage. We think this a good indication. The Spiritual status of the church is moderately good. Since our last conference one of our old veterans, Bro. JOHNSON has died. He was a member of New Prospect Church, also, Dr. MCIVER of Rogers Prairie Church. Dismissed by letter D. J. MCDONALD

To Presiding Elder and Members of the 2nd quat. Conference, Rogers Prairie Circuit, Calvert Dist. Texas Conference.
Dear Brethren,
We have as yet only one S. S. entirely under the Supervision of our Church, which school is at this place. At Rogers Prairie our people attend the S. S. under the supervision of the Baptist Church. At High Prairie our people are to arrange to day. At other points we see no hope so far. As for the state of these Schools there is much good things done we believe, but there seams to be a want of enthusiastic interest upon the part of leaders and the work does not prosper as it other wise would. During the 2nd qur. we have been preaching some to the children and have catechism many at their homes

To the Presiding Elder and members of the 2nd qt. Conference, Rogers Prairie Cir. Calvert Dist. Texas Conference
Dear Brethren,
With one exception perhaps, we think our church is gaining some ground, Congregations are increasing. The attendance has been about double the past month, and attention very good. At High Prairie the house will not hold the congregation. Through the gracious providence of God none of our members have been taken from us this qt., for which we are greatful. We have received by letter the names of Bro. F. S. BAKER, L. D. and Sister E. M. BAKER, his wife. We have three prayer meetings in progress on this work. They are very well attended and productive of good. We have reason to be encouraged, but there is much room for spiritual improvement.
Yours in Christian love

Dear Brethren,
We report that the spiritual condition of the work is better than it has been hitherto, but it does seem to me that it is not as good as it ought to be. There has not been near the number of conversions, as there ought to be. There has been 15 additions to the church the past qur. There has been a good deal of work done on Parsonage. We do not know just the amount paid out.

Dear Brethren,
We are truly sorry that we can’t report a Sunday School on the work. We believe it second only to family training in reaching the children and young people of our community. The only school we have on the work has gone into winter quarters. As to the pastoral instruction of children, we often speak to children privately upon the subject of religion and frequently direct part of our public discourse to the children.
Gods blessing upon the children.

I find our church in a bad condition religiously. Some are very indifferent about their souls salvation, don’t go to church, rather go elsewhere than to the house of God. Calvert District, Texas Conference, To the P. E. and members of the fourth qt. conference of Rogers Prairie Circuit

Dear Brethren, I truly believe that our work is on rising ground. We have had some good revivals on our work. Our churches seem to be alive spiritually but financially almost dead, that is some of them. They say that they are going to do but have not done much. Yet we have had 55 additions to our church this conference year and baptized 22 children.
Yours truly,
A. M. EUBANK, P. C.
