Report of the Methodist Youth Fellowship

5. What special efforts have been made to deepen the spiritual life of youth (in addition to the regular program of Sunday school, evening meetings. and the like)?
The youth of the First Methodist Church united with the youth of the First Baptist Church and formed a youth choir, which presented special music for the two churches at their united Christmas service.
This MYF planned and conducted a special Thanksgiving service, bringing the music, devotional and leading a very inspiring candlelight communion service.
New Year's Eve the young people had a watch night service from 11:00 until 12:00 P. M., contributing special music and ringing the old year out and the New Year in with our church bell.
The young people and, now, the Junior MYF, lead the evening services each Sunday night, making the announcements, announcing the hymns, receiving the evening offering and turning the remainder of the service over to the pastor at the time of the sermon. These young people have done this for the past five years.
8. How many members of the M. Y. F. attended summer camps, institutes, assemblies and the like? Ans. 5
Three of the total number of five indicated on report, attended junior camp at Lakeview, the other two attended senior officers Training Assembly. We have now a plan, or project, which we are raising money for, which will allow us to send more young people to camp by paying a part of the tuition.)
