Walter Terrell Bass – Died 6 May 2009 – Walters Funeral Home

Graveside funeral services for Walter Terrell Bass, age 84, of the Redland Community west of Centerville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Concord Cemetery. Rev. Ross Newton will officiate the service. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.

Walter Terrell Bass was born on September 11, 1924 to Walter Thomas & Anne Belle (Beddingfield) Bass. He lived his entire life in the Redland Community. Terrell was a custom hay bailer for over 50 years and loved herding his cows. His life was ranching and hay bailing. He also enjoyed helping his wife, Emma at the Centerville News. Walter passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Madisonville. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; three brothers, Ibb, Roger Ray and infant, Roy Reagan Bass and brother-in-law, Elmer Schulze.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Emma Bass of the Redland Community; son, Walter Lee Bass & wife, Geneva; two granddaughters, Holly Bass Reinhardt & husband, Jason and Amy Bass Ackley and husband, John; great grandchildren, Cody Paul Reinhardt & Shelby Reese Reinhardt; sister, Theckla Bass Schulze; four nephews, Larry Ray, Douglas, Roger & Paul Bass; two nieces, Sharla Boyd & Sally Keaton and special friends, Dr. Jack Taylor, Jim Ketchey and L.C. Wall, Jr.
