Cecil Bell – Died 23 July 2009 – Walters Funeral Home
Funeral services for Cecil Bell, age 69 of Oakwood, are set for 3 pm Sunday,
July 26, 2009 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Earl
Williams and Jamie Duplichan will officiate the service, and interment will be
in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25th from 5 PM until 8 PM.
Cecil Bell was born on December 18, 1939 to Ernest and Lina (Johnson) Bell. He passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Palestine, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Leon County, and a member of the Oakwood Church of Christ. He was raised in Centerville and a graduate of Centerville High School in 1959. He started the B-5 Construction in 1983, a municipal utility company.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wendell Bell, Roy Bell, and an infant brother, Wallace Bell.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bell of Oakwood, Texas; three sons, Cecil Bell, Jr. and wife, Jo Ann of Magnolia, Texas, Ernest Bell and wife, Kathy of Magnolia, Texas, and Justin Bell and wife, Julie of Oakwood, Texas; three brothers, Weldon Bell of Dallas, Texas, Frank Bell of Centerville, Texas and Jerry Bell of Leona, Texas; three sisters, Mayme Brown of Centerville, Texas, Mary Jo Bell of Centerville, Texas and Eva Roccaforte Bell of New Caney, Texas; seven grandchildren, Justin Dyer, Logan, Eric, Heather, Roy, Cecil “Trey” and Charlie Bell; great grandchild, Shianne Bell; mother in-law, Catherine Whiteman of Oakwood, Texas ; brother and sister in-law, Delbert Whiteman and wife, Carolyn; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and many many friends.
