"This cemetery has been named many times by different individuals, i.e., McCoy-Askew Cemetery, McCoy-Oak Hill Cemetery, OakHill-Moody Cemetery. There is no official name erected on the fence surrounding the cemetery, nor on the gate where you enter the property. It is the option of this surveyor that since the history, regarding the plot which the cemetery is on, is about the McCoy surname and the land was originally called Oak Hill, it shall be called so here. "
