Thursday, December 2, 1971--Mrs. Laura Eaves, buried in Faulkenberry
Cemetery in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas. Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Eaves, AGE 101, of Groves were held at the Kibler Chapel on Fri. afternoon, November 26. Mrs. Eaves passed away on Nov. 25 in a Groves nursing home and had been in ill health for six years. Mrs. Eaves was born in Jasper on October 31, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larkin Richardson. On July 31, 1887 in the Eureka Community in Limestone County, she married James Columbus Eaves, who preceded her in death in 1941. Mrs. Eaves is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leila McCorkle of Groves; three gr-children; five gr-grandchildren and 11 gr-gr-grandchildren. A member of the First Baptist Church of Groves, the deceased had been a resident of that city for the past 25 yrs. Rev. Jerry Lemon, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck, officiated at the funeral services. Organ music was provided by Mrs. C. L. Harrison. Pallbearers were Robert Coffee, Dick Long, Edgar Shelton and Morris Outlaw.
