Obit for Jimmie Ralph Sims Mexia Daily News Obituary notice dated March 31, 1978: Jimmie Ralph Sims, 69, of Mexia died Thursday at his home and will be buried Saturday afternoon in the Mexia City Cemetary. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Corley Porter Chapel with Rev. Ed Spivey of the First Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Sims was born February 5, 1909 in Personville, Tx He was a veteran World War II where he became disabled. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sims of Mexia; one sister, Mrs. Earbell Baker of Headloon, Ok; two halfsisters, Mrs. Martha Johnson and Mrs. Billie Jean Files, both of San Antonio. Pallbearers will include Cecil Farris, Cyril Farris, Haskell Farris,
