Upper Red River Falling.-- We learn by a letter, received from a
reliable source per steamer Saratoga, that upper Red River is
falling rapidly above the raft. This will be good news, though it
is to be feared that all the plantations having been overflowed,
little or no cotton will be raised this season in that section.
The Jefferson Jimplecute, of the 4th, says the river here
continues to fall but we fear that the heavy rain las night will
cause another rise.
