Mrs. William F. Fason Dies
Mrs. Etta S. Fason, wife of Mr. W. F. Fason, died September 13th 1907 at 5 p.m. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Belcher. She was 31 years, 5 months, and 8 days old. She was sick with black jaundice about a week, she leaves four children motherless, a husband, a brother and an aged father and other relatives to mourn her loss.
Note: 19 December 1876 - 9 September 1907 She is buried in the Trinity Cemetery by her daughter, Etha L. Known children are Haywood, Lottie, Roy Carlton and Sexton.
Felker, W. E.

W. E. Felker Dies From Typhoid Fever
W. E. Felker passed away January 23rd after a lingering illness of typhoid fever. He leaves a wife and four small children, his parents, several brothers and sisters and many more relatives to mourn his death. He had been a member of the Liberty Church since early manhood.
Note: Willie Edwin Felker was born 28 August 1878; cemetery book has death date as January 28th. He married Louise Jane Fowler. He is buried in the Liberty Cemetery also known as the Fowler Cemetery at Avinger.

Mrs. Figures Dies Wednesday
Mrs. Margaret Figures, widow of the late R. A. Figures, died at the family home on Line Street Wednesday night, August 16th at 10 p.m. Mrs. Figures had been an invalid for a number of years. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Maggie and two sons, Robert at home and W. B. in Atlanta and several grandchildren. the funeral will take place from the home Friday at 10 a.m., with interment in Oakwood Cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her in death, January 10 1916. The services were conducted by the Rev. L. F. Brothers, pastor of the Methodist Church.

John Fischer Dies In Dallas
John Fischer died at his home in Dallas at 5:40 yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 3 p.m. this afternoon with the Rev. J. A. Thomas and Rev. James Kirkland conducting the services with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery. Besides his widow , he is survived by three sons, J. A. Fischer of Houston, Charles Fischer and Albert Fischer, both of Dallas and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Myers of Oakland, California, Mrs. M. S. Corder and Miss Denia of Atlanta. He was born in Germany 16 March 1831. When 18, he emigrated to New York City, where he lived for ten years. In 1859 he moved to Jefferson and married R. P. Anderson in Jefferson 35 years ago.

Fisher, Lareo

Killed By The Cars While Asleep On The Track
Last Sunday morning about 2 a.m., while the T & P passenger train # 3 was passing through Stalls going west, it ran over and killed a young negro boy named Lareo Fisher and hurt another boy, George Glen slightly. The boys had been to a supper given by Richard Barber and while on their return to Lodi, sat down on the tracks at Stalls and went to sleep. Lareo Fisher was the son of Frank Fisher, who formerly lived in Jefferson. The funeral took place Monday at Damascus Baptist Church at Lodi with the Revs. W. W. Webb and W. H. Whiten conducting the services and the burial took place in the Whitaker Cemetery at Lodi.

Fitzgerald, Ambrose

Death Of An Old Citizen
One of Marion County's oldest citizens, Mr. Ambros Fitzgerald passed away Tuesday, October 25th at 11 p.m. at his home near Smithland. Mr. Fitzgerald would have been 82 in November. He came to Texas about 70 years ago. He was the father of five children, four of which survive him and about ten grandchildren and two or three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives. He has been almost blind and helpless for about two or three years. Mr. Fitzgerald was a blacksmith in the early days, but mostly he farmed throughout his long life. His son, Monroe and family lived with him for the last few years and took care of him. He leaves one brother, Mr. J. M. Fitzgerald, about 80, that lives in Jefferson. The burial took place Wednesday at the Fitzgerald Family Cemetery on the old home place.
Note: Ambrose Fitzgerald was born about 1829 - his tombstone has death date as Oct 28th. He was born in Virginia, the s/o Jesse & Frances LEWIS Fitzgerald. The family came to Texas in 1839, in the Civil War, he served in company F, 22nd Brigade, Texas Confederate Cavalry. He married first, Frances Skidmore in 1849, they were the parents of William Pink, Susan Caroline, Levi C., Monroe Mathes, Mary and Ambrose. He married second, Mary Scuddy in 1907.

Frank Fitzgerald Dies At Prospect
F. B. Fitzgerald died Tuesday, July 6th about 8 p.m. at his home near Prospect. He was a native of this county and grandson of the late Ambrose Fitzgerald, pioneer citizen of Marion County. F. B. Fitzgerald was a member with the W.O.W. camp at Smithland. The burial took place at New Prospect Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the services were conducted by Rev. D. T. McCrary, Methodist pastor of Kellyville.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday for Mrs. Winnie Ida STEVENSON Forbes, who died at her home near Sarber on last Friday afternoon after a short illness. The deceased is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. R. B. Kirkland of Atlanta, Winnie Ruth, Rae, Patricia Ann and Ellen Forbes, three sons, Calvin, Jerry Don and George Forbes, Jr. all of Jefferson, her mother, Mrs. W. L. Stevenson of Bartow, Florida, three brothers, E. J. Stevenson, F. L. Stevenson and J. O. Stevenson and one sister, Mrs. H. A. Vancleave of Wortham, Texas.

Death of James Ford
The death of James Ford took place at his residence in this city, Friday morning at 3 a.m. after a short illness. Mr. Ford was an old citizen and held the position of city marshall many years in the past. He leaves a young wife, an aged mother, a married daughter and son, nearly grown by a former marriage and several brothers to whom we extend deep sympathy in their bereavement. The deceased was a man of the U.B.A. lodge in this city. The funeral will take place from the residence at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with interment in the Old Foundry Cemetery near Lodi.
Note: 1852 - 1907 He was the son of Wm. Thomas and Dorcas M. THOMPSON Ford. He was the husband of [1] Martha E. Duncan [2] Nancy Pickens.
Ford, John V.

Mr. Ford Dies In Oklahoma
John V. Ford died at Fairland, Oklahoma Sunday, April 4th at 8 p.m. The body reached Jefferson Thursday afternoon on the M. K.& T. at 4:26 and was accomplished by the brother, Dr. W. H. Ford of Dallas and J. L. Ford of Amarillo and a cousin, W. F. White of Fort Worth. The remains were taken to the Oakwood Cemetery for interment in the family plot. Rev. T. S. Torrans conducted the services. Mr. John V. Ford was born in Jefferson and spent his boyhood here. He had been in the drug business at Fairland for some twenty years and had been in failing health for some time, his death was sudden and unexpected.

Mrs. A. D. Ford Dies
Nancy Ford was born 22 March 1851 in Newton County, Texas. She married A. D. Ford 3 June 1875 and to this union were born nine children. She had been in failing health for some months, she died on Tuesday, 7 June 1910. The remains were sent to Kerrville, Texas to the family burying place. She leaves a husband and eight children at Kellyville, to mourn her loss.

A. A. Fort Dies From Stroke
A. A. Fort died Thursday night, January 11th at about 8 p.m. at the family residence on Henderson Street. Mr. Fort has been an invalid for a number of years as a result of a stroke which caused paralysis. The second stroke apparently caused his sudden death. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, he is survived by a wife, two daughters and six sons and a number of grandchildren.
Note: Arthur Algernon Fort was from Mississippi and spent his boyhood in Lewisville, Arkansas, Bowie, Cass and Marion Counties. He married Miss Frances A. Fort of Lewisville, Arkansas. He was born 7 February 1851 and was buried beside his wife, Fannie A. in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Texas, died yesterday at her home near Jefferson. She was nearly
90 years of age.
Fox, Mrs. Fredrica

Death of Mrs. F. Fox
Mrs. Fredrica Fox died at the Kahn Memorial Hospital in Marshall, Saturday, June 17th at 10 p.m., she was 71 years old. Mrs. Fox was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1844 but had been a citizen here for some fifty years. Her husband the late Mr. Hugo Fox, who was one of the leading merchants in the 70's. Mrs. Fox was living with Mr. and Mrs. Stutz in the winter months and spent the summer months with Mr. and Mrs. Josh Calloway near Woodlawn. Mrs. Fox left no children, cousins and step-brother in New Orleans and three step-daughters in Alabama. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery on Monday, with the funeral services conducted by the Rev. L. F. Brothers, pastor of First Methodist Church.
Note: Mrs. Fredrica Fox was born 8 December 1843; she is buried beside her husband, Hugo V. Fox.
