Niedermier, John W.

Death of J. W. Niedermeier

     John W. Niedermier died at the MacFaddens Health Home in Battle Creek Michigan, Wednesday, June 28th at 3:30 a.m., where he and his brother, Fred O. Niedermeier went on Monday, the 10th of June. John Niedermeier had been with the T & P railroad for more than eighteen years in the train dispatchers office at Marshall   up to within the last twelve months, when he served his connection with the T. & P. and went with the Santa Fe at Temple, where he was taken ill with an ulcerated throat, which caused him to go to Battle Creek for relief.

     His remains reached here at 4 p.m. Friday and were taken to the residence of his mother, Mrs. A. K. Nierdermeier on Line Street. The mother, sisters and brothers have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday under the auspices of the Elks of Marshall.

Note: 1870 - 1907 He was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson by his parents and other relatives.


Northern, Mrs. M. A.

Mrs. Northern Dies Wednesday

     Mrs. M. A. Northern died Wednesday morning at the home of Mr. R. B. Walker on Polk Street, she was 88 years old. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. B. Walker and a number of grandchildren. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. this Thursday afternoon with services conducted by the Rev. C. T. Cummings.

Note: Martha A. Northern was born 25 September 1825 and died 29 October 1913. She was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery.
