WB Hill was 1/2 brother to my ancestor, Sam Hill. W B Hill was the son of William M Hill and Mrs. Margret Harris, who came to Mason County from Crawford County, AR about 1881. WB and PB Hill are in the 1900 Mason census, which indicates that he was about 20 years older than she and that they had been married for two years and had one child, deceased. It came from a cousin in CA, a Hill descendant. I now feel sure that this picture is of WB Hill and wife Pearl Clary. When I was researching earlier, I wasn't sure of the age of the picture but was told that it was around the turn of the century, based on the couple's clothing, which is reasonable if this couple was married abt. 1898. Also, the groom appears to be older than the bride. On the back of the picture, an unknown relative had written, "Mr. and Mrs. William Hill." |
