Comments: William "Uncle Billy" Franklin, along with Frank Drake, Green Alford, Green

Holland, Warner and E.H. Crain, Dr George Dilworth and James Lowe established the settlement of Rio Frio at the confluence of the Frio River and Leoneita Creek near present-day Tilden, Texas.  He moved his family to the Marcelinas Creek area of Wilson County in 1872
where he continued ranching.
