BELL, HENRIETTA                         March 6, 1924 – November 18, 2008                                                                              

Services for Henrietta Bell, 84, of Omaha, were held Nov. 22 at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Mitchell officiating. Interment was in Bell-Haven Cemetery in Omaha.
Mrs. Bell was born March 6, 1924, to Dan and Hattie Henderson.  She died November 18, 2008 at an Omaha nursing center.  She graduated from Texas College in Tyler and obtained her master’s degree from East Texas State University in Commerce.  She taught at Paul Pewitt Schools from more than ten years and was a lifetime member of the Teacher’s Retirement System.  She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized at Omaha First Baptist Church, was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir.  Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Antoinette Bell of Katy; brother, Ernest Henderson of Magnolia, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, former students and friends.   Burial was in Bell-Haven Cemetery in Omaha. CANNON, SALLY ANN HARRIS ROBERSON   Mar 14, 1941 –Aug 31, 1995

Sally Ann Harris Roberson Cannon, 54, of Omaha, died Thursday, August 31,  in Omaha.  Funeral services were Sunday, September 3, at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Hughes Springs, with the Rev. Kerry Duffey officiating.  Burial was in the Bell Haven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mrs. Cannon was born March 14, 1941, in Omaha.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.  Survivors include three sons, Todwyn Roberson, Michael Roberson and Anthony Robeson; two daughters, Anita Kym Roberson and Carla Nicolette Roberson; one brother, Charlie Harris, Jr.; and five sisters, Carlene Nelson, Elgie Evans, Evelyn Morgan, Sandra Johnson, and Gloria Jones; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Alfred Cannon. COFFEY, CURTIS                                    August 26, 1919 – December 28, 2006

Services for Mr. Curtis Coffey, 87, of Naples, were Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. C. L. Moore officiating.  Mr. Coffey was born August 26, 1919, in Linden.  He died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.  He attended Morris County Schools, served in the US Army and was retired, was a member of Omaha First Baptist Church and had made his home in Naples for the past 30 years.  Survivors include one step-son, Billy C. Heath; one daughter, Berma Runnels; five step-daughters, Maggie Sierra, Stella Evans, Martis Black, Barbara Coffey and Marilyn Flake; special sister, Ruth Hood; special brother Willie D. Harris; three grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; and 39 step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters; and two brothers.  Interment was at Bellheaven Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Michael Runnels, Harold Ervin, Thomas Heath, Lourenza Coffey, Zebbie Heath and Alfred Mitchell.  (Location Unknown)

 

COFFEY, ELLA MAE                                   November 11, 1916 – Jan 23, 1994

Ella Mae Coffey, 77, of Omaha, died Sunday, Jan. 23, at Titus County Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.  Services were at 11 am Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Omaha First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kerry Duffey officiating.  Burial was in the Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mrs. Coffey was born Nov. 11, 1916, in Douglassville.  She was a homemaker.  Survivors include her husband, Curtis Coffey of Omaha; six children, Doyle Leonard, Maggie Sierra, Stella Evans and Maytis Black, all of Dallas, and Barbara Coffey and Marilynn Greenwood, both of Omaha; two step-daughters; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.  (Left Side of Drive)

 

COFFEY, JAMES                                       August 6, 1925 – November 15, 1995

JAMES COFFEY, 70, of Fresno, CA, died Wednesday, November 15, 1995 in the Corcoran District Hospital at Fresno.  Funeral services were Wednesday, November 22, at the Omaha First Baptist Church West at 2 pm, with the Rev. R H Davis officiating.  Burial was in the Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mr. Coffey was born August 6, 1925.  He is survived by a son, Billy Coffey of Omaha; three sisters, Emma Toney of Corcoran, CA, Eliza Harris of Los Angeles, and Arthur Mae McCoy of Napes; and a host of other relatives and friends.  (Right Side of Drive)

 

COFFEY, LON                                                        April 25, 1925 – May 8, 2001

Services for Mr. Lon Coffey, 76, of Sulphur Springs, were Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Omaha First Baptist Church.  Mr. Coffey was born April 25, 1925 in Omaha.  He died Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at a Dallas hospital.  Survivors include one daughter, Gloria J. Mitchell of DeSoto; four sisters, Allie Mae Harris of Los Angeles, Emma Toney of Corcoron, CA, Eddie B. McCoy and Iwanna Warren, both of Omaha; one brother, James A. CUMMINGS, GRADY DEAN                              July 7, 1952 – October 6, 2006

Services for Mr. Grady Dean Cummings, 54, of Omaha, were Saturday, October 14, 2006, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. L. Chism officiating.  Mr. Cummings was born July 7, 1952 in Pittsburg, to Oreve Peoples and Grady Cummings.  He died Friday, October 6, 2006 at his home.  He was employed at Lone Star Steel Company as a crane operator and was a member of Living Green Baptist Church in Pittsburg.  Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Cummings of Omaha; two daughters, Brittney Cummings of Omaha and Tina Brown Peters of Dallas; two sons, Matthew of Omaha and Kelvin of Dallas; two step-children, Quintodd Lewis of Rowlett and Nola Lewis of Omaha; seven grandchildren; his mother, Oreva Cummings of Pittsburg; two sisters, Alice Hill and Blondell Cummings; two brothers, Bennie R. Cummings and L. T. Peoples, all of Pittsburg; four aunts, Mary Alice Bennett, Marthel Modkins, Mable Williams and Geraldine Sadberry; two uncles, Morris Peoples and Willie James Peoples; great-uncle, Goree Johnson; and numberous relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Cummings.  Interment was at Bellheaven Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Robert Cummings Jr., Rickey Peoples, Michael Bennett, Bobby R. DIXON, ANTHONY                             November 11, 1962 – September 5, 2005

Services for Mr. Anthony Dixon, 42, of Omaha, will be conducted Saturday, September 10, 2005, at 11 am, at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. W. Germon officiating.  Mr. Dixon was born November 9, 1962, in Omaha.  He died Monday, September 5, 2005, at his home.  He attended Paul H. Pewitt Schools and was a Baptist.  Survivors include his wife, Mildred Dixon; his mother, Maxine Dixon; one son, Regdreon Neal; four daughters, Tamico Perry, Brittenay Rowe, LaBraya Rogers and Brandace Rogers; three brothers, Benny Whetstone, Jerry Dixon and Kenneth Whetstone; four sisters, Joetta Dixon, Kimberley Adams, Bonnie K. Hannah and Melinda Neal; and one grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joe D. GARNER, GEBO                                               October 26, 1899 – June 3, 1999

Services for Mr.Gebo Garner, 99, of Omaha were held Monday, June 7, 1999 at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hargrave officiating.  Mr. Garner was born October 26, 1899 in Douglassville and died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at Titus Regional Medical Center.  He was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Omaha.  Survivors include one son, Alonzo Garner of Tyler; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Interment was held at Bellheaven Cemetery in Omaha under the direction of Atlanta Funeral Home.  (Right Side of Drive)

 

JOHNSON, ALLENE (BIG)                          June 25, 1914 – September 4, 2000

Services for Mrs. Allene “Big” Johnson, 86, of Daingerfield were Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000 at Wallick Chapel Church with the Rev. Lucky Randle officiating.  Mrs. Johnson was born June 26, 1914 in Omaha.  She died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000 in Daingerfield.  She was a homemaker, a lifetime resident of Daingerfield and a member of Wallick Chapel Church.  Survivors include two sons Johnny Johnson and Larry Noble Johnson; daughter Mary Rose; brother Clarence Finley; sister Silverine Barnes, both of Omaha; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ester “Big Um” Johnson, three brothers and two sisters.  Burial was in Bellheaven Cemetery.  (Location Unknown)

 

JOHNSON, BERTHA MAE                             March 22, 1911 – March 6, 2001

Services for Mrs. Bertha Mae Johnson, 89, of Naples, were Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Brown’s Temple Methodist Church with the Rev. A. C. Jackson officiating.  Mrs. Johnson was born March 22, 1911 in Daingerfield.  She died Tuesday, March 6, 2001.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Brown’s Temple Methodist Church, Omaha.  Survivors include three sons, Curtis Woods of Omaha and Ernest Woods and James Johnson of Mt. JOHNSON, ROBERT LEE                            November 21, 1934 – July 2, 1989

Robert Lee Johnson, 63, of Omaha, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, in Omaha.  Funeral services were at 1 pm, Tuesday, July 7, at Roberson Temple in Omaha, with the Rev. Fred Hargrove officiating.  Burial was in Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Inc.  Mr. Johnson was born November 21, 1934, in Morris County.  He was a 1996 retiree of Lone Star Steel Company, and a farmer.  Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Johnson of Omaha; sons, Delwyn, Anthony and LaVell, all of Omaha, Rodney of Mt. Pleasant, and Fred of Dallas; daughters, Shenneka Johnson and Sheila Justice, both of Dallas, Josephine Johnson, of Longview and Vivian Johnson of Naples; brothers, Harold Brown and Jimmy Lee Brown, both of Omaha, J. D. Services for Marion “Shooter” Lawson, 39, of Arlington, TX, originally from Omaha, were Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the Gum Springs CME Church at Douglassville, with the Rev. Q. T. Williams officiating.  Mr. Lawson was born August 19, 1966, in Marietta, TX.  He died August 11, 2006, in the Arlington Medical Center.  He was a graduate of Paul H. Pewitt High School and was employed with Room Store Warehouse in Grand Prairie.  Survivors include one daughter, DeeAndrea Lawson of Kilgore; his mother, the Rev. Q. T. Williams (Jimmie Williams) of Omaha; two brothers, Mario Lawson and Allen Lawson of Omaha; four sisters, Vickie Moore of Texarkana, Rhonda Turner of Naples, and Kristi Nickleberry and Umekia Armour of Mt. Services for Ms. Audrey Ann McNary, 50, of Omaha, were August 15, 2009, at Omaha Church of Christ with Bro. Joe Rivers and Bro. Dennis Allen officiating.  Ms. McNary was born September 27 1958, in Terrell, Texas, to Price and Truelove McNary.  She died August 9, 2009, at her home.  She was a member of Church of Christ and was in the United States Army.  She was preceded in death by her father, and a son, Brandon McNary.  Survivors include her mother of Omaha; one daughter, Brandy McNary of Omaha; three sons, James McNary of Cason, Andrail McNary of Omaha, and Byron McNary and wife, Shanice of Mt. Michael Richard Parker, 38, of Dallas, died Thursday, December 26, 1996, at his home.  Funeral services were at 11 am, Monday, December 30, at the Brown’s Temple CME Church at Omaha, with the Rev. W. L. Houston and the Rev. A. C. Jackson officiating.  Burial was in the Belle Haven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mr. Parker was born June 24, 1958, in Naples.  Survivors include his mother, Ruby Williams of Dallas; two brothers, James Williams and Charles Williams, both of Dallas; and two sisters, Ruby Jo Sibley and Jeffie D. RAINEY, PRIELLA JOHNSON                        August 12, 1913 – April 4, 2001

Services for Mrs. Priella Johnson Rainey, 87, of Dallas were Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Omaha First Baptist Church.  Mrs. Rainey was born August 12, 1913 in Morris County.  She died Wednesday, April 4, 2001.  She was amember of Omaha First Baptist Church where she was an usher and choir member, and Eastern Star.  She was preceded in death by three children, Mary Greer, Tommy F. Rainey and Hattie McGee.  Survivors include two daughters, Zella Young and James Ella Boyd; one son, William H. Rainey; two sisters, Bertha Evans and Dorothy Hill, all of Dallas; one brother, Edward Johnson of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and a  number of nieces, nephews and friends.  Interment was at Bellheaven Cemetery.  (Location Unknown)

REEVES, JOHNNIE MAE                         February 22, 1922 – March 2, 2009

Services for Mrs. Johnnie Mae Reeves, 87, of Omaha, were March 7, 2009, at Omaha First Baptist Church with Elder Bobby Jones officiating.  Mrs. Reeves was born February 22, 1922, in Morris County to Luna and John Walker.  She died March 2, 2009, at her home.  She was united with Omaha First Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member.  She was a member of the choir and the missions until her health failed.  She married James Reeves on August 18, 1935.  She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Eddie Reeves; two sisters; five brothers; and two grandchildren.  Survivors include one daughter, Betty and husband, Elbert Payne Sr., of Oklahoma City; four sons, Williams Reeves and wife, Ann of Irving, Freddie Reeves and wife, Jean of Cleburne, Roy Reeves and wife, Katherine of Cason, and Henry Reeves and wife, Patricia of Tyler; one daughter-in-law, Marlo Reeves of Ft. Worth; a special son, Bennie Whetstone; a sister, Wanda Lee of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of special grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Burial was in Bell Haven Cemetery.  (R Side of Drive)

Mildred C  Reeves, 42, of Omaha, died Saturday, February 21, 1998, at Titus Regional Medical

Center in Mt. Pleasant.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Thursday, February 26, at the Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kerry Duffey officiating.  Burial was in the Belle Haven Cemetery at Omaha under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.  Ms. Reeves was born August 21, 1955 at Levelland, TX.  She was a member of the Omaha First Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.  Survivors include four sisters, Brenda Reeves of Lancaster, Margaret Williams of Omaha, Doris Walker of Duncanville, and Frances Winn of Tulsa; and her mother, Mildred E. Reeves of Omaha.  Other survivors are five aunts, Berniece Casell of Dallas, Mattie Edwards of Ft. Worth, Martha Greenwood of Garland, Verdell Warren of Ft. Worth and Sue Turner of Ft. Funeral services for George A. Roberson, 59, of Omaha, were Saturday, February 14, 2004, at the Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Bertrand Bailey Jr., officiating.  Mr. Roberson was born May 1, 1944, in Omaha.  He died February 12, 2004, in a Tyler hospital.  He was a US Air Force veteran, a member of the Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, and an employee of Lone Star Steel Company.  Survivors include his wife, Bettie Roberson of Omaha; three daughters, Georgia Walker of Pittsburg, Sandra Wright of Daingerfield, and Betsy Fluellen of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Gregg Brooks of Mobile, AL; his father and stepmother, L. ROBERSON, LOUIE (JACK)               September 29, 1917 – October 19, 2007

Services for Mr. Louie “Jack” Roberson, 90, of Omaha, were October 27, 2007, at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. C. L. Moore officiating.  Mr. Roberson was born September 29, 1917, in Daingerfield, to Arthur and Ada Evans Roberson.  He died October 19, 2007, in Mt. Pleasant.  He was a deacon and financial secretary at Omaha First Baptist Church, a farmer, a bus driver for Pewitt CISD, an employee at Lone Star Steel Co., attended the CC Camp, and was a life long resident of Omaha.  He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Pauline Johnson Roberson; son, George A Roberson; four sisters; five brothers; and a grandson.  Survivors include his wife, Helen Roberson and a special daughter-in-law, Bettie A. Roberson both of Omaha; two sisters, Willie Lois Turner of Buford, Georgia, and Vernita Faye Turner of Tulsa; two sons, Rickey Smith of Frisco, Texas, and Scottie Benton of Chino Hills, CA; three daughters, Lou Vanna Lewis, and Tonya Gaston both of Omaha, and Eunice Gaston of Carrolltn, TX; six grandchildren from first marriage, Georgia Walker of Pittsburg, Sandra Wright of Daingerfield, Greg Brooks of Mobile, AL, Marcell Sherman of Exton, PA, Angela Sheffield of Wiley, TX, and Betsy Fluellen of Mt. STIGERS, BOBBY WAYNE                    October 14, 1947 – September 8, 1998

Memorial services for Bobby Wayne Stigers, 40, of Omaha were conducted Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998 at Union Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. John Smith and the Rev. Fred Hargrave officiating.  Mr. Stigers was born October 14, 1947 in Naples.  He died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998 in Naples.  He was an automobile mechanic and a member of the Union Baptist Church.  Survivors include his mother, Willie Stigers of Omaha, two brothers, Danny Stigers of Lancaster and Travis Stigers of Conroe; four sisters, Margaret Caldwell and Dorothy Greenwood of Austin, Velma Harrison of Dallas and Francis Stigers of DeSoto; 12 nieces and seven grand nephews and nieces.  Graveside services and burial were in Bellheaven Cemetery in Omaha under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.  (Left Side of Drive)

 

STIGGERS, SAMUEL TRAVIS                               June 6, 1927 – April 8, 2007

Services for Mr. Samuel Travis Stiggers, 79, of Omaha, were April 11, 2007, at the Harmon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Hood officiating.  Mr. Stiggers was born June 6, 1927, in Naples.  He died April 11, 2007 at the Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.  He attended the Omaha schools, a life long resident of Omaha, and a member of the Omaha First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three children.  Survivors include two sisters, Osia M. Williams of Omaha and Lois Favors of Dallas.  Honorary pallbearers were Danny Stiggers, Roy Stiggers, Greg Payne, Greg Williams, Ben Heath, and Don Williams.  Burial was in Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha, under the direction of Harmon Funeral Home.  (Location Unknown)

 

WILLIAMS, MARGARET                                     June 30, 1954 – July 22, 2006

Services for Mrs. Margaret Williams, 52, of Omaha, were July 28, 2006, at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kerry Duffey officiating.  Mrs. Williams was born June 30, 1954, in Naples.  She died July 22, 2006, in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a nurse’s aide and a member of the Omaha First Baptist Church.  Survivors include one daughter, LaWanda Williams of Omaha; two sons, Michael Williams of Pittsburg, and Kristian Williams of Omaha; three sisters, Brienda Reeves of Dallas, Dorris Reeves of Omaha, and Francis Winn of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Candis Tarver, Damian Williams and Divana Williams, all of Omaha; and a number of other relatives.  Interment was in Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha.  (Location Unknown)

 

WOODSON, ANNIE LUE (ANN)            January 9, 1952 – December 13, 2000

Wake services for Mrs. Annie Lue “Ann” Woodson, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, were Monday, December 18, 2000 at Turney Mortuary Chapel with Supt. Neotis Roberson officiating.  Mrs. Woodson was born January 9, 1952, in Naples.  She died Wednesday, December 13, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a custodian and a member of the Brown’s Temple CME Church of Omaha.  Survivors include two sons, Kevin Woodson of Friedbery, Germany, and Dennis Woodson of Omaha; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Paula F. Rector of Houston, Betty J. Johnson of Omaha, and Catherine and James Montgomery of Dallas; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Woodson; one niece and nephew, Kathy King and Gerald King Sr., of Daingerfield; and a number of other relatives.  Interment was in the Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha.  (Location Unknown)
