Obituaries for Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery

GAUNTT, JACK DARRYL                        March 30, 1936 -- October 19, 2009

A rosary service and visitation for Mr. Jack Darryl Gauntt, 73, of Omaha, was October 20, at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, with mass at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Daingerfield on October 21.  Mr. Gauntt was born March 30, 1936, to Boyd Gauntt and Eunice Nelson Gauntt in Omaha.  Even though he was only 17 when he married Jerry, he knew he had met his soul mate.  They were married in Alexandria, Lousiana, on December 17, 1955.  They showed us all how love was supposed to be.  Jack and Jerry stood by each other's side, from his teen years to the very end, always looking out for each other with love and respect.  They were blessed with two children, Donna Gauntt Senkowsky and Anthony A. Gauntt.   Jack's proudest moments came when he was blessed with four granddaughters, Molly, Emily, Franny, Grace, and through them he passes that light of love and faith to them.  He is survived by his wife, Jerry; daughter, Donna; son, Anthony; son-in-law, Jon; sister-in-law, Vergie Gaspard; his granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.  Just as our God sent his own son to this earth to live among us, and then returned Him home to Heaven, we too, shall be called home one day.  Jack was called by his Lord to come home on October 19, 2009, where He is waiting to welcome Jack with open arms.  Jack's spirit is now free to continue to love, laugh, and cherish all those he loved.  Burial was at Our Lady in the Pines Cemetery.  (Location Unknown)
