I'm greatly saddened to report that our long-time coordinator, Patsy Vinson died in July 2026. Patsy joined us in 2010 and has been a big part of our project, managing 5 counties. She will be sorely missed.

Nolan County is located in west central Texas and was named for Philip Nolan (1771-1801), a mustang trader and freebooter in New Philippines, which later became part of Texas.
