CAROL RAE CLEMENS Carol Rae Clemens of San Antonio, formerly of Midland and Odessa, was called home to her Lord Jesus on Oct. 15, 2007. Carol was born in Sweetwater on April 12, 1946 to Carrell Bert Jones and Mary Farris Jones. She was in a hurry all her life, a habit that began with her birth one month early. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Eugene Clemens, her father Bert, and her brother Tim Jones. She is survived by her mother, Mary of Sweetwater; her child-ren, Charles Michael Patterson and Sean Ireland Patterson and his wife Traci Lynn Patterson of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Sean Michael Jacob Patterson and Kaitlyn Savannah Patterson of San Antonio; her sister, Mary Ann Brock of Midland; and her brother, Kenneth B. Jones of New Braunfels. Carol was a tomboy as a small child, preferring playing cowboys to playing with dolls. She and her brother and close companion, Tim, were always just getting into or out of hot water for their latest escapade. Her brothers and sisters valued her all her life as a friend as well as a sibling. Carol attended Kermit schools, graduating in 1964. She was active in choir, and loved music greatly all her life. Carol worked in the telecommunications industry for many years and was greatly loved by her co-workers. She was generous to a fault and extraordinarily considerate of others. It was not ad-visable to comment that you liked something she had or wore, be-cause she would buy that item and give it to you almost immedi-ately. Her heart was as big as her zest for life, which made her a joy to be around. She was a great hostess and loved company. Carol married her beloved Mike on Nov. 22, 1986. Since his passing two years ago she has longed to be reunited with him in the presence of her Lord. Today Mike and Carol dance on streets of gold. Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Garden and Funeral Home in Odessa. Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Odessa at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 with John Garduna of San Antonio officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sweetwater City Cem-etery in Sweetwater at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kenny Jones, Jacob Patterson, Robert Jones, Rick Rogers, Allen Brock and Steve Clemens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
