The state of Texas Panola County.

Know all men by these present that I J.H. Anderson Sheriff of said County ___ on the 8th day of September AD 1857 By virtue of a Execution No 582 in favor of Wm Walton admin of the Estate of George W. Watson and against George B Roberts, A L Taylor, J H Taylor, J W Williams, George W Watson, John Anderson & Wm White Jpo ty (?) M L Wiggins clerk of the Dist Court of said County on the 15 day of June AD 1857 and by me recd in office on the 17th day of June 1857 Levy one three hundred and twenty acres of land situated in said Panola County on the waters of Murvaul Bayou about 7 miles s.w. from Carthage ____ by virtue of the Head Right Certificate of W M Hooper which is more fully described in a deed dated Dec 13 1853 from Richard Hoop to Wm White and on Record in the County clerks office of said Panola County in Deed Book D page 186 as the property of William White to satisfy said Execution subject to the Homestead of the said White of Two hundred acres of land which said last was by me advertised on the 14th Sept 1857 at three Public places in said County to be sold on the first Tuesday in October 1857, the sale of such tract was Postponed by Order of J P Mason the Plaintiffs attorney and ordered to be held up which said Execution was by me returned to the Tax Clerks office of said County and another Execution was opened in said case the 3rd day of Nov 1857 by M L Higgins Clerk as aforesaid and by me __st in office on the 4th Nov 1857 with the livery of said Land endorsed thereon, which siad land was adopted by me as a ___ on the last Mentioned Execution, which said was by me duly advertised according to Law at three Public places in said County at least twenty days before the first Tuesday in March 1858 to be sold at hte Courthouse door in the Town of Carthage in said County on the said first Tuesday in March 1858 to the highest bidder for Cash as the property of William White to satisfy said Execution subject to the homestead of the said White of Two hundred acres, which said land was by me on the said first Tuesday in March 1858 offered for sale within the legal hours of sale to the highest bidder for Cash at the ime & place & for the purposes as above specified Which said Land was then and there bid off and bought by Adam Duke for the sum of Fifty One dollars he being the best and highest bidder therefor. Now therefore in Consideration of the ____ and the said sum of fifty one dollars to me in hand paid by the said Adam Duke have this day bargained, sold, ___, transferred & Conveyed & by these presents do bargain, sell, ___, transfer & Convey unto the said Duke all the interest of the said White in and to the above and foregoing described land, subject to the homestead as aforesaid, together with all and singular the rights Members, --------------------- and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appurtenancy to have and to hold the same unto him the said Duke his heirs and assigns forever the claim or claims of the said White. Given under my hand and seal, using the scroll for seal this the 2nd day of March AD 1858.

Personally appeared before the undersigned authority J H Anderson Sheriff of said County whose name appears above subscribed and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed, and declared that he Executed the same as Sheriff as aforesaid for the Considerations uses and purposes therein contained.
