Eusebio M. Ontiveros

Eusebio M. Ontiveros, 78, Fort Stockton, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Fort Stockton. Born August 14, 1927, at Fort Stockton, he was the son of Sefisino and Dolores Moreno Ontiveros. A truck driver for a petroleum company, Eusebio was a life long resident of Fort Stockton. He was a member of the Apostolic Church. Eusebio was united in marriage to Juanita Flores Ontiveros April 15, 1951 at Fort Stockton. They were married for 55 years.

Surviving Eusebio is: his wife, Juanita, Fort Stockton; his sons, Eusebio Ontiveros, Jr. and Jesse Ontiveros, both of Fort Stockton, Orlando Ontiveros, Midland, Robert Ontiveros, Victoria, and Joe Ontiveros, Carlsbad, N. M.; his daughter, Juanita Marquez; his brother, Manuel Ontiveros, Fort Stockton; his sisters, Lazara Acosta and Frances Flores, both of Fort Stockton, Stefana Ximanez, San Antonio and Clara Cabarero, Lubbock. Also surviving Eusebio is: 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were February 18 in the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Alvaro Navarrette will officiate. Interment was in East Hill Cemetery , Fort Stockton. Arrangements were under the direction of Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

Manuel Ortega Sr.

Manuel Ortega Sr., 92, of Harlingen died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, in Harlingen. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. JosephChurch with the Rev. Joe Vasquez officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery . Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born in Casa de Piedra and had been a resident of Harlingen since 1994. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Manuel Ortega Jr. of San Diego; daughter, Josephine Simpson of Harlingen; brother, Jose Vizcaino of San Pedro, Calif.; sisters, Antonia Valenzuela and Frances Montlongo, both of San Pedro, Calif.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
