Jackson Cemetery,"25 Sep 1887,"This
cemetery is located in the northeast quadrant of Red River County,
Texas. GPS COORDINATES: Datum WGS84: 33 Deg 38.331N, 94 Deg 48.382W.
From the intersection of FM 114 and FM 1699 just east of English,
take FM 114 2.1 miles to CR 3345. Take CR 3345 north 6/10 mile
to the intersection with CR 3347. Take CR 3347 for another 4/10
mile and the cemetery is on the east or right. The cemetery covers
about two acres but no records were found in the Red River County
Deed Records. The oldest marked grave was that of Eliza A. Denison
who died 25 Sep 1887. This cemetery was surveyed by Lawrence
and Sue Dale on 20 Jan 1999. On a pleasant Thursday afternoon,
30 Jan 2003 we visited and took the GPS Coordinates. We also
did a re walk of the cemetery adding new burials and noting marker
changes."
