Mosley Cemetery, 10 Jul
1895,"This cemetery is located in the northeast quadrant
of Red River County, Texas. GPS COORDINATES: Datum WGS84: 33
Deg 50.708N, 95 Deg 00.127W. From Hwy 37 and FM 1159, take FM
1159 east for 1.6 miles. There is a pasture gate on the left
which is kept locked. Go into the pasture to the north and at
the end of the second pasture veer left into the woods for about
100 yards. The cemetery is in the trees and in a completely abandoned
condition. The earliest burial is that of Mrs. W. H. Mosley who
died on 10 Jul 1895. It appears to be on the William Slingland
survey. This cemetery was surveyed by Lawrence and Sue Dale on
30 Nov 1999. We visited the site again on 8 Dec 2003 and took
the GPS readings."
