From Avery take FM 911 south 5.0 miles to its intersection with CR 4429. Turn right or west onto CR 4429 for 1.5 miles and in the middle of a sharp turn to the left, the cemetery is on the right about 100 yards due east across the pasture. A deed dated 10 Oct 1899 and filed for record on 26 Jan 1911 in Book CH Vol 70 Page 140 conveyed 1 acre of the S. P. Moore survey from K. L. Keen et al to Rehobeth Missionary Baptist Church. This deed had a stipulation that the land revert to heirs if the church no longer needed this land as access to the church. Wouldn't that be a mess! This suggests that there is an earlier deed that we have not discovered. A deed dated 6 Dec 1916 and filed for record on 3 Feb 1917 in Book CH Vol 87 Page 98 for 1 acre of land in the S. S. Moore survey from E. C. Smith et ux to Rehobeth Church. Another deed dated 5 Dec 1928 and filed for record on 7 Dec 1928 in Book CH Vol 123 Page 464 for 1 acre of the J. A. Dillard survey from Mrs. M. E. Crow et al to Rehobeth Baptist Church. The oldest marked burial is that of Claudie T. Scott who died on 31 Mar 1906. This cemetery was surveyed by Lawrence and Sue Dale on 24 Feb 1999. We visited the site again on 27 Jan 2003 and took the GPS readings. On a cold, overcast day, 31 Jan 2004 we returned to the site to take pictures and to see the fresh cleanup done by the Red River County Sheriff's Department. We are indeed indebted to this agency and to the prisoners who perform the actual labor in cleaning these old locations. We also did a complete re walk of the cemetery noting any marker changes."
