MCCORKLE posted by Dorles L. Repass on Thursday, July 9, 1998

I am searching for the burial place of Elizabeth L. MCCORKLE, Also known as Betsy MCCORKLE. Elizabeth died circa 1854 supposedly near White Rock, Titus County, Texas. Since there is not, and never has been to my knowledge, a White Rock in Titus County, I am assuming she is buried near White Rock in Red River County. Elizabeth did live in Red River county at one time; her husband and one son were Cumberland Presbyterian ministers. Her husband was Archibald MCCORKLE and her son was Samuel L. MCCORKLE. I have found references to Samuel being in White Rock, Red River County. Any information that suggests/proves Elizabeth's burial place, or that Elizabeth and her family were in Red River county would be apppreciated.
