In the summer of 1861 there were eleven companies of volunteers
for the southern cause formed in Red River County. These records
were filed in the courthouse. These records were located in 1837
during a visit by the Historical Records Survey Organization
of Texas. These lists were microfilmed along with other records
and were also published in the Clarksville Times.
Below listed are the units, with the lists of officers and privates
along with any other information that was included.
I have no additional information at this time on any of these
units or the persons listed here.
