Directions to Cemeteries in Rockwall County Texas


Your help is needed.
If you are very familar with a cemetery in Rockwall County I would really appreciate it if you would send me some specific directions on how to get there. If I don't have one listed, tell me about it. Also, if you have copied information from any of the cemeteries in the county, I would like to post them in order to help others in their research. Chisholm Chapel Cemetery
On Hwy 205 about five miles south of Rockwall, on the West side of the road
Clark Cemetery according to where this cemetery is located on the map, this cemetery is probably also Parker Cemetery.
Clinton Cemetery this Cemetery is in Hunt County Texas, not Rockwall County in the town of Clinton (all names that show up are the same in the Hunt County transcription, though some persons interred there were residents of Rockwall County)
Fredonia Hill Cemetery Take Hwy 205 north out of Rockwall. Turn left on Ridge Road West and follow until it dead ends into Shores Blvd. Turn left onto Shores Blvd and go quite a ways down on this road. Keep looking to your left for the cemetery (may not be seen from road). If you get to Fairlakes Point Dr. you've gone too far. Cemetery is located between Merion Drive and Fairlakes Point Dr.
Harvey Cemetery This cemetery (originally on the William Harvey Farm) is located behind the house at 5760 FM 548. It is located about 200 yards behind the house in a grove of trees in the middle of an open field. In relationship to the Blackland Cemetery, which William and Casandra Harvey donated the land, Harvey Cemetery is about 3/4 mile due east of Blackland.

Heath Cemetery
Old Willow Springs
From Rockwall take Ridge Road south and travel approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto FM 1140 (also known as Smyrl Road) and travel approximately 2.3 miles. Cemetery is on property adjoining the First Baptist Church of Heath.
Kyser Family Graveyard
Located in Heath on Private Property. Site owners do not wanty the exact location known to keep vandalism from occurring.
Peck - Kyser Cemetery Take Hwy 740 North out of Heath, heading towards Rockwall, the road turns into Laurence Street , as the road curves left turn right onto a new concrete two way road with divider. Go to first street to left, turn on the old Brown-White road, it is made up of white rocks, go .10th of a mile, cemetery is on left side of road.
Lawhorn Cemetery The Lawhorn cemetery is located on the east side of FM 549 just before you reach Wallace Road.
Mt. Zion Cemetery From the Southwest corner of the Rockwall town square on Hwy. 205 (Goliad St. at Rusk St.) go North on 205 for 2.4 miles. Turn right onto Co. Rd. 552, go 3.0 miles (just past 549) Mount Zion Cemetery will be on the right.
Nathan Butler Cemetery This cemetery is located northwest of the Courthouse in Rockwall about 2 miles, adjacent to the Shores Subdivision; Mapsco: page 20C, section F. On a hill just east of Shores Blvd. (about the 1300-1400 block) accessible only from alley behind Shores Blvd. It is across the street from the new Hartman elementary school.
Parker Cemetery
AKA Clark Family Cemetery

From the old Rockwall town square, go 2.2 miles north on Goliad Street (Hwy 205). Turn left on W. Quail Run. Parker Cemetery is .6 mile at the end of the road.
Resthaven Memorial Park Located on Hiway 66. 2 miles east of Hiway 78.
Rockwall Memorial Cemetery Its just off Hwy 66 about one block west of Goliad Street. It's behind the police station.
Rockwall City Cemetery
Southside Cemetery
On Hiway 205, 1 mile north of I-30 on the west side of the road.
Royse City Cemetery Take I-30 NE to the Royse City exit. Take the frontage road north on I-30. take the first right then the first left onto Cemetery Rd. It is about a block from the intersection.
Stephens-Wade Cemetery Land Owner has requested that Directions not be Listed to keep down vandalism.
Thompson Cemetery Located west of FM 740 second road south of I-30 - on private property
Valley View
Cornstalk Cemetery
South of FM 550, just inside the Kaufman County line.
