Let Us Take You Back in Time!

Right Here You Can Tour the Rockwall Courthouse Square
and the Surrounding Business District

The Sanborn Company made complete Maps
of many towns in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Using those Antique Maps we have constructed the layout of the area around the
Rockwall Square to show where certain businesses were located.

Witness the progression of Business Growth by comparing the maps.

Example: One obvious difference in the 1900 & 1905 Maps is the "Bailey Hotel".
Constructed in 1887 by Thomas W. Bailey, and shown on the 1900 map,
it burned in 1903 and the vacant lot where it was located is shown on the 1905 map.

Photos of early businesses and details on where they are located on the maps.
