Buried Parker Cemetery - Rockwall Co.
Inscription on Tombstone:
"Mr. Truitt was born in Kentucky. He went to Illinois as a boy of fourteen
and came to Texas in 1844. He joined Col. Jack Hays Regiment
and served two years in the Mexican War. In 1849 he came
to Rockwall and located on 320 acres of land - the same excellent farm
he died on."
