Per Mr G D Ray, a member of the Enon Cemetery Board, says there are approximately 175-180 unmarked graves.

This is a well maintained cemetery with a four foot chain link fence. It is under the care of an association. The cemetery is across FM Hwy 556 from the Enon Baptist Church which was founded on May 13, 1848. According to some older members of the church, there is no connection in the minutes between the church and the cemetery.

There are numerous graves which have no tombstone, but their location is marked with round concrete cylinders set flush with the ground.

The grantor of the original land for the cemetery is unknown. The oldest remaining tombstone is that of the infant son of James and Susan Petty which as a date of death of Dec. 14, 1863. Additional acreage has been acquired in recent years.
