Barnwell (1868 ? 1936) and Theo E . Barnwell born about 1872.   During the Civil War he enlisted in Co. B, Cobb's Legion, 9th Georgia Cavalry .  His unit fought at Gettysburg, Chattanooga,  Chancellorsville and were present at Lee's Surrender at Appomattox Court House.

Master Sergeant Harold Beasley served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed at Clark Field, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines during WWII. When the base was overrun by the Japanese in 1942, the soldiers fled to the jungles where they were protected by the local guerrilla forces. Ultimately captured by the Japanese, Harold was a participant in the ?Death March? that originated on the Bataan Peninsula. He was imprisoned first at Bilibid, and later at the prison camp at Cabanatuan. After three years of incarceration, the prisoners were freed in raid by a force of U.S. Army Rangers and Filipino guerrillas. Harold was retired as a master sergeant and lived thereafter in Gilmer, TX, the owner/operator of the local Texaco station.

- Born in Mobile, Ala. he was the son of Eber Moore Bolles (1793 ? 1822) and Elizabeth B Taylor (1793 ? 1872).  He married Virginia Hubbard and their children included Arthur W. Bolles born about 1846, James H. Bolles (1848 ? 1900), Charles M. Bolles born about 1850, Taylor Bolles born about 1856 and Mary V. Bolles born about 1858.  Following Virginia's death he married in 3 Apr 1865 to Isabella G. Freeman born about 1840, and their children included Eloise W. Bolles born about 1865, Freeman Bolles (1869 ? 1870), Franklin E. Bolles born about 1870, Charles Bolles born about 1875, Earl Bowles born about 1881, and Pearl Bowles born about 1883.  During the Civil War he enlisted in Co. A., Joe Taylor's Texas Batallion and 1st Battalion Cavalry, Texas State Troops. On Oct 13, 1899 he applied for a Confederate Veteran's Pension from Upshur Co., Texas which was approved.  His widow, Isabelle, also applied for a Confederate widow's Pension after his death as well approved 16 Feb 1903.

Fenlaw (1867 ? 1930) and Frank Fenlaw (1877 ? 1910).  During the Civil War he was a PVT CO G 17TH  REG.  TEXAS  CALVARY  C. S. A

Per Ronald Wade - The Rev. John H. Floyd, born in Talbot Co., Ga., the son of John G. Floyd (born 1799 Ga.) and Mary Davidson Floyd (born 1803 Ga.).  He was married three times and was widowed twice.  Married first to Annie L. (25 Mar 1838 Ga. ? 17 Aug 1894 Tx, buried Lafayette Cem., Upshur Co., Tx.)  Second marriage to Sallie (24 Feb 1861 Tx ? 24 Oct 1906 Tx, buried Soules Chapel Cem., Upshur Co.).  Third marriage was in Jan 1910 to Sadie E. Dyer born about 1866 in Grainger Co., Tennessee.  During the Civil War he enlisted in Co. C, 50th Tennessee Regiment Infantry and surrendered in April 1865 in Talladega, Ala. to the Federals.  On 26 Jan 1914 he applied for a Confederate Veteran's Pension.

Per Ronald Wade - John W. Floyd, born in Meriwether Co., Ga., the son of the son of John W. Floyd (1800 Nash Co., NC. - 1877 Tx.) and Oretha Ann Jones Floyd (1817 Lincoln Co., Ga. - 1889 Upshur Co., Tx.).   During the Civil War he enlisted Jan 1861 in the Savannah Blues, 8th Texas Brigade under Capt. James Gillam.  He married Eugenia Greer Floyd (1849-1934).

Per Ronald Wade - Dr. Henry F. Ford, born in Madison Co., Alabama, the son of W. Richard Ford (1778 ? 1849) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Flowers.  On 21 Feb 1866 he married Ellen E. Foster 1832 ? 1857). They had a son, McDonald G. H. Ford (born 1873 Upshur Co., Tx. although this may be the child of a relative).  After Ellen's death he married Emily C. Ford (1833-1921).   Dr. Ford practiced medicine in the Old Calloway-Western Upshur County Area where his family life.  During the Civil War beginning in 1861 he was Captain of the Calloway Independent Company, 6th District of Upshur County, Texas State Troop of the Confederate States of America.
