In Mr. Kidd's Pension papers for Texas it states on the questionaire:

Q: If your physical condition is such that you are unable by your own labor to earn support, state what caused such disability.
A: Age and injury to back and left leg caused by siege, cannon falling on me during service in Louisiana.
