GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


GLADEWATER -- Services for Tom Abel, 50, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. today, March 9, 2005, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with the Rev. Richard Prather officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. 

Born May 14, 1954, in Gladewater, he died Saturday, March 5, 2005. 

He was a 1972 graduate of Pine Tree High School, attended Kilgore College, and graduated in 1977 from the University of Texas at Austin with a pharmaceutical degree. He was a Methodist. 

He is survived by his longtime companion, Ida Sue Baumgardner of Longview; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Krueger and Yvonne Abel; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. 

Pallbearers will be Barry Cook, Richard Rankin, Les Baumgardner, Henry Baumgardner, Joe Acker, Steve Horton, and Mark Johnson.
