UPSHUR COUNTY - GILMER CITY CEMETERY

Services for Laquita “Janell” Abney, 84, of Gilmer will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Laster officiating. Interment will be at Gilmer City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. 
 
Janell passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, in Gilmer. She was born on January 28, 1931, in Wood County to Walter A. and Emma Sue Box. Janell was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Gilmer. 
 
She is survived by her son, Robert Abney and his wife, Danene of Gilmer; daughter, Wanda Hunter and husband, Jay of Gilmer; grandchildren, Alyssa Abney, Zeth Abney, Bryan Hunter and wife, Jen, and James Hunter; great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Kadence, Makenzie, and Kayla. 
 
She is proceeded in death by her parents; husband, C.C. “Skeet” Abney; one brother; and three sisters. 
 
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until beginning of service on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the funeral home.
