Allen, Roy Louis 


GLADEWATER -- Services for Roy Louis Allen, 58, of Gladewater, will be held 
2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with 
Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. 
Born April 25, 1948, in Gladewater, he died Monday, September 11, 2006. He 
was a water operator for the city of Longview and a Baptist. Mr. Allen was 
preceded in death by his parents, Aurther Louis and Mary Thelma Allen; and 
sister, Thelma Louise White. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ellen Allen 
of Gladewater; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis Paul and Darla Allen of 
Gladewater, and Johnny Lee and Lainie Allen of Gladewater; daughter and 
son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Roger Spakes of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; four 
great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Lee Diviney of Gladewater; and brother, 
Robert Lymen Allen of Gladewater. Pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Chris White, 
Wayne Diviney, Russell Allen, Robert Voss, Lonnie Robinson, John Spakes, Shawn 
Simmons, and Jessie Allen. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. 
Wednesday evening, September 13, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
