Arrington, 86, of Rt. 3, Gilmer, were Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Croley Chapel with Elder Wilburn Tefteller and Elder J. C. Wade the officiating ministers. Burial was in the Kelsey Cemetery with arrangements by Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Arrington died at 12:20 p.m., Nov. 1 at the Gilmer Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Louisville, Miss., Feb. 24, 1890, but had resided in Upshur County most of his life. He had been a farmer and a member of the Gilmer Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saint for over 70 years. Survivors include five sons, Rozell Arrington and Glen Arrington, both of Gilmer; Maurice Arrington, Argyle; Preston Arrington and Jimmy Ray Arrington, both of Ft. Worth; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Chitwood, Jacksonville; Mrs. Fern Walles, Salt Lake City, Utah and Mrs. Grace White, Lancaster, Calif.; 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Also, a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Abney, Porterville, Calif.
