Ayres, Elton Earl   	

Services for Elton Earl Ayres, 79, of Diana, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 
2007, at the Beulah Baptist Church near Many, Louisiana, with the Rev. Ansley Orfelia 
officiating, under the direction of Welch Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. Burial will 
follow in the Beulah Cemetery.

Mr. Ayres passed away on Monday, September 24, 2007, at a nursing home in Gilmer.

Mr. Ayres was born October 17, 1927, in Many, Louisiana, to Johnny and Amanda Lovelady 
Ayers. He was a Baptist and retired tech sergeant, having served in the U.S. Air Force 
for more than 22 years.

Mr. Ayres was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.

Mr. Ayres is survived by a special friend, Minnie Cantrell of Diana; one son, Kenneth 
Ayres; two sisters, Essielee Gentry and Lela Jeane; granddaughter, Amber; and other 
extended family.
