V Gail Bowers

GILMER — V. Gail Bowers passed away July 8, 2011, at her home with her family and loved ones near. Gail was born December 16, 1943, to Elene M. and R.C. Buse in Texarkana, Ark.

Gail was a vibrant life in the lives of all that knew her. She always put others before herself. She had careers at a nursery, as an admininstrative assistant and as a realtor, and excelled at them all. Her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and outgoing personality, as well as her focus and outstanding work ethic, gained her respect and love by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, LeGrande "Lee" Bowers; their six children, Tracy Overcash and husband, Rick, Celeste Crandell and husband, Oman, Andrea Checketts and husband, Russell, Evan Bowers and wife, Dawn, Craig Bowers, and Justin Bowers and wife, Christy; her older siblings, Richard Buse and Betty Eckman; as well as 21 grandchildren.

The services for Gail were held at Croley Funeral Home on July 9, 2011, and she was laid to rest at Kelsey Cemetery following the services.

She will be missed deeply and will always remain in our hearts and mind.
