UPSHUR COUNTY - WEST MOUNTAIN CEMETERY


Graveside services for Ruby Alice Bibb, 91, of White Oak will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at West Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Mrs. Bibb passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 in White Oak. 

The Bibb family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home.

Ruby was born December 4, 1924 in Buffalo, Arkansas to the late Charles Reynolds and Cora Hoofman Reynolds. She graduated from Monette High School in Monette, Arkansas in 1942.  

She married James Deuease Bibb on February 20, 1943 in Monette. In February of 1947 she moved with her husband and two sons to East Texas, where she had lived ever since. She worked for several years in medical administration in Gladewater but always considered herself first and foremost a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and working in the yard. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. 

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law James, Jr. and Cho Bibb and Terry and Sandra Bibb; two granddaughters Mandy Bibb and Deena Bibb as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years James D. Bibb, Sr. who passed away in 1992.
