GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


Services for Charles Ray Black, 74, of Big Sandy will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home chapel in Gladewater. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park.

Born on Aug. 15, 1937, in Canton, he died on Monday, March 19, 2012. He was a retired coach/teacher/contractor.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Alan Jones of Hawkins, Cindy and David Martin of Lindale, Janet and Peter Gordon of Boca Raton, Fla., and Julie Black of Frankston; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Kelley Black of Round Rock; 11 grandchildren; brother, Randall Black of Tyler; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Black; and siblings.

His friendliness, hospitality and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
