The family of Robert “Bob” Franklin Burris, 79, of Hawkins will receive friends from 2pm- 4pm Thursday March 24, 2016 at McWhorter Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Bob was born on October 7, 1936.  He passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, March 22, 2016. 

He served in the Army during The Korean War and later spent his life as an electrician in Arkansas. 

Preceded in death by his son William C Burris, parents Frank and Janie Burris, and sisters Mildred Johnson, Nona Ruth Duvall and Elease Haney. 

He was survived by his daughters Donna Favors and Deborah Flotow, his son Robert "Bob" Burris, their mother Mary Warnack, grandchildren Zhara Lampkin, Catherine Gomez, Amber Hill, Christopher Flotow and Brianna Frase, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
