SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY GILMER — Services for Mozell H. Butler, 81, of Gilmer, will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 2 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wayne McKay officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Born February 14, 1933, in Athens, Texas, to Jim Helton and Dovie Stracener, she died on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was a retired seamstress and a Baptist. She is survived by two sons, Scott Butler and his wife, Teresa of Navasota and Mike Butler of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Mickey Brewster of Gilmer; son-in-law, Glen Caffey of Gilmer; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Peggy Helton of Gilmer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Aubrey Hamilton and Scott T. Butler; daughter, Jeanette Caffey; brother, James Helton; two grandchildren, John Brewster and Dusty Caffey. Pallbearers will be Steven Williams, Solomon Butler, Clint Caffey, Chris Caffey, Daylon Brewster, and Davey Ingram. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
