Carrington Jr., Gordon 


GILMER -- Services for Gordon G. Carrington Jr., 76, of Miami, 
Florida, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006, at Croley 
Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Pastor Andres Ruiz 
officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. 
Mr. Carrington passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006, in Miami. 
Mr. Carrington was a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during the 
Korean War, a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, a CPA, and 
a comptroller/trea-surer for Creole Petroleum Corp. in Caracas, 
Venezuela, from 1954-1976. He retired from Exxon/Esso in Coral 
Gables in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Pat Carrington of 
Miami; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Andres Ruiz; four 
grandchildren, Bryan, Rebekah, Joshua and Rachel of Homestead, 
Florida; brother, Tom Carrington of Austin; nephew, Greg 
Carrington of Dallas; and niece, Maryanna Davis of Colleyville. 
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his favorite 
charity, St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, 
(800-822-6344). No formal visitation is scheduled.
